I'd thought I'd introduce myself briefly and explain what I do in this post. You probably know me as a photographer, and that's true. My name is Hannah, and I'm from Sweden but currently based in Berlin.
I'm running my own online concept store, which you probably have visited. For the past year or so, I have been working on a project where I print my art on beautiful materials such as organic cotton and fine art paper. My latest collection: the Beetle's collection, consists of organic children's clothes, photography prints, and greeting cards. All with the same colors, tonality, and nature theme. Everything is made in small quantities respecting nature and the environment. I aim to keep it this way, to remain a creator and artist, and not scale into mass-produced products.
The clothes have carefully been developed with children's needs in mind and make them as planet-friendly as possible. The organic fabric is sourced and printed in Greece. The clothes have been manufactured in Poland, close to the German border. I wanted to make them as natural as possible; the shell fabric consists of 100% pure organic certified cotton. The buttons are made from Corozo nuts, and the elastic in the waist is made from organic cotton and natural rubber (free from child labor). The fabric is decorated with a digital print as this method uses less water, produces less toxic waste, and requires fewer resources than dying or screen printing.
You might already know that I love to print my art and especially on beautiful fine art paper. I've selected my 10 favourite images in the Beetle's collection that complements the clothes in colour, theme, and tonality. They are available in four different sizes and printed on bamboo paper. I like this type of paper because bamboo naturally requires minimal maintenance. No pesticides need to be used, and bamboo requires only a little water to grow, helping to save valuable resources. In addition, the plant proliferates fast, so more cellulose can be produced on the same cropland compared to other raw materials.
I've used the same images to create beautiful folded greeting cards. There is such a content feeling writing personal messages to family and friends and an even more wonderful feeling receiving them! The same images are also included in my photography gift box - the most versatile way to indulge in beautiful images and offering you the ultimate unwrapping experience. Imagine an Instagram IRL experience.
I will donate 1.5% of the retail price of each produced item to a safe and clean stove project to reduce carbon footprints. My print partner is carbon neutral and I always ship with DHL's GOGreen carbon neutral initiative.
I hope you like my new collection because it's been so much fun working on it! If you would like to have a closer look, then check out the collection.
